Virtual standby: operational in less than an hour
Piandi has utilised the latest technologies to be able to provide a virtual infrastructure on standby at our disaster recovery datacentre for business continuity and disaster recovery. Virtual infrastructure has the advantages of a hot standby but without the associated costs of having to purchase expensive hardware that may never be used.
Hot standby: operational within an hour
We can provide pre-built hardware on standby at our disaster recovery data centre. Servers will be pre-configured with the same operating system, applications, and settings as your live servers. We use storage replication technologies to replicate data between your live systems and the disaster recovery systems. The disaster recovery servers are active and will be able to be made live within one hour in the event of a disaster.
Warm standby: operational within 24 hours
We can provide pre-built hardware on standby at our disaster recovery data centre. Servers will be pre-configured with the same operating system, applications, and settings as your live servers. We use storage replication technologies to replicate data between your live systems and the disaster recovery systems. The disaster recovery servers are not active but in the event of a disaster can be brought online, updated with your backed up data and will be able to be made live within twenty four hours in the event of a disaster.
Cold standby: secures your data
For cold standby solutions, server hardware is not procured in advance. We will use storage replication technologies to replicate your on-site backups to our disaster recovery data centre. In the event of a disaster, we will procure replacement hardware and then restore your backed up data to the new systems. The time taken to recover from the disaster can vary depending on the length of time it takes to implement the new systems however you can rest assured that your data is secure.
